Job summary

McWane Plant and Industrial (MPI) is seeking an experienced Machine Operator I to join our Job Shop Fabrication and Machining operation in Wethersfield, CT. The role involves measuring, threading, adjusting flange fit, and facing ductile or steel pipe using lathes and threaders.

Responsibilities include safety, gear inspection, and meeting production targets. You must read a tape measure, use a micrometer, and work with pipes from 3" to 6" diameter. Excellent benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Previous experience with machinery is desired.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal safety and team safety at all times.
• Operate lathes and threaders to machine pipe components.
• Verify thread depth and taper, and test flange fit onto pipe.
• Move pipe with forklift and maintain a clean, safe work area.
