Job summary

Custom Pipe & Fabrication Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator I to manage safe machine operation and ensure on-time production of quality parts. The role involves starting/stopping machines, loading/unloading parts, monitoring output, and adhering to daily targets.

Training may be provided to prepare for duties. Applicants should be willing to follow instructions, have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to perform repetitive tasks.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and improve to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• High school diploma or GED required. Adequate work experience may substitute for diploma or GED.
• Willingness to follow written or oral work instructions and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Start and stop the machine safely without supervision.
• Place unfinished parts and remove finished parts safely.
• Monitor machine operation and check part quality with designated measurement instruments.
• Understand when and how to stop machine safely; troubleshoot as needed.
• Assist in maintenance and repair of machinery; operate tools to aid manufacturing.
• Perform periodic checks on equipment and troubleshoot issues; oversee machine during tasks and adjust to improve results.
• Produce quality parts according to targets and schedules; log completed parts for records.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area; comply with all safety requirements.
