Job summary

UFP Industries in Thornton, CA, is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up and operate a production machine per established procedures. You will secure and manage materials needed for the operation.

The role requires at least 6 months of manufacturing experience and a high school diploma or GED (preferred). Applicants must be 18 or older. Compensation ranges from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machine per procedures.
• Safe and efficient operation following established procedures.
• Stack finished products and label/band components as needed.
• Keep work area safe, clean, and organized; ensure equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift startup inspection and report issues.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products for quality and standards.
• Participate in safety and continuous improvement programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
