Job summary

Maker's Pride in Michigan City, IN seeks a Machine Operator to set up and run packaging equipment according to GMP standards. Flexible second and third shifts; overtime possible. Open interviews Thursdays and Fridays at 502 West U.S. Hwy 20.

Duties include equipment set-ups, minor adjustments, quality checks, wash and changeover, and documentation. Requirements: high school diploma preferred; must be 18+, English literacy helpful; GMP/HACCP knowledge or willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of GMPs and HACCP or willing to learn.
• Sufficient math skills to calculate quantities for orders.
• Good organizational and communication skills to prioritize work.
• Ability to handle small tools.
• Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures.
• English reading/writing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate set ups on equipment for product runs.
• Operates equipment and makes adjustments to meet quality specs.
• Inspects and tests packages and documents results.
• Stages materials for quick changeovers.
• Completes and documents all required position paperwork.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
