Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas is seeking a Machine Operator I for the 2nd shift at our Huntley, IL facility. Set up thermoforming machines, mount dies, load materials, and run parts per job specifications.

You’ll troubleshoot, perform quality checks, complete tickets, and maintain a safe, clean area. Must read calipers, do basic math, communicate well, and lift up to 50 pounds. 2nd shift: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM; competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months machine operator experience.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Understanding of manufacturing and quality control.
• 6 months setup operator experience.
• 1-year production line experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, reach, stand and walk throughout the day.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good manual dexterity and agility.
• Good leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Sets up thermoforming machines for operation per job specifications.
• Mounts dies and molds and loads rolls of raw materials into the machine.
• Engages machine to produce thermoformed parts and maintains continuous operation.
• Performs troubleshooting and quality control checks.
• Performs routine maintenance on thermoforming machines.
• Completes required job tickets.
• Directs packers/inspectors to work in other areas when machine is down for troubleshooting or set up.
• Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Performs other work duties or functions as assigned.
