IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. is seeking a Machine Operator I for 2nd shift in Sycamore, IL. This regular full-time factory position involves forming, assembling and packaging products, with responsibilities including following safety and quality procedures and operating various equipment.

• Perform routine production tasks under the close direction of the Supervisor and/or lead person, including forming, assembling and packaging of products; set-up and operation of various work stations.
• Use various tools and equipment including hand tools, soldering equipment, assembly and test equipment, and hand trucks as required.
• Monitor work visually and dimensionally referencing blueprints and engineering specs; maintain quality and rate charts.
• Follow all quality procedures and instructions.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
• Attend and participate in team activities to meet productivity targets.
• Follow verbal and written directions, including simple assembly instructions and diagrams.
• Read and follow job instructions and complete written forms; communicate effectively with others.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment.

This is a SECOND SHIFT position, working Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm in Sycamore, Illinois.

• Regular, predictable attendance is essential to teamwork, timely information exchange, and meeting productivity requirements.
• Must be able to follow directions, both verbal and written, including simple assembly instructions and diagrams.
• Visualacuity and hand dexterity to package and assemble avariety of materials is required.
• Forselected tasks, color and depth perception may be required.
• Abilityto perform routine computer data entry and queries is required.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Requires the ability to read and follow job instructions, complete written forms, and effectively communicate with others.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to frequently lift, push and pull up to 10 lbs., for 9-10 hours per day and, on occasion, lift up to 40 lbs. This capability will either be determined from a physical exam, or verifiable past performance.
• Hot/cold temperatures based on seasonal variations
• May be humidity, noise, odors, dust
• Safety precautions are a must to minimize potential exposure to mechanical hazards.

Compensation Disclosure:

The rate of pay for this position is $22.50/hour, plus a 2nd shift differential of 6.5%. This represents a good faith disclosure of compensation, which is the fixed starting rate for this position.
