Job summary

Apogee Architectural Metals is seeking a Machine Operator I to produce high-quality architectural products by efficiently operating manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and should have experience in manufacturing or machine operation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, including wrenches, hammers, and levels.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate production machinery and equipment.
  • Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments.
  • Read work orders, blueprints, and production instructions.
  • Use measuring tools to verify product quality and accuracy.
  • Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.

What You'll Do

As a Machine Operator I, you will play an important role in producing high-quality architectural products by safely operating manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a hands‑on position with opportunities to develop new skills and grow your manufacturing career.

Hours: Days 6a‑6p 2‑2‑3 Schedule; Nights 6p‑6a 2‑2‑3 Schedule ($2.00 Shift Premium) – Pay: $19.50 / Hr.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate production machinery and equipment
  • Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments
  • Read work orders, blueprints, and production instructions
  • Use measuring tools to verify product quality and accuracy
  • Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance
  • Identify and report equipment or quality issues
  • Follow all safety procedures and support production goals
  • Cross‑train in multiple work areas and equipment
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Comfortable using hand tools, including wrenches, hammers, and levels
