Job summary

Georg Fischer Central Plastics LLC is seeking a Machine Operator to safely operate production equipment and follow established procedures. You will adjust settings, package and label products, and perform measurements to ensure quality and on-time performance.

The role requires adherence to ISO standards and strong teamwork in a factory environment. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, basic blueprint reading skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs while maintaining constant

Qualifications

  • High school diploma is desired.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate production machines according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately and on time.
  • Perform packaging, labeling, counting, and sorting of products.
  • Follow ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHAS 18001 standards and company safety policies.
  • Read blueprints when required and verify parts with calipers to maintain tolerances.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and communicate effectively with team leads and supervisors.

Job description

Summary: Safely operate authorized production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Adjust machine settings to accurately complete tasks according to specifications and in a timely fashion. Perform manual tasks such as package, crate, label, count, and sort products. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Required to understand and follow all company policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all guard and safety equipment have been installed and properly checked
  • Safely operate machine assigned by the line lead, team leader, supervisor, or manager
  • Required to maintain quality standards on all products
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with co-workers, line lead, team leader, supervisor, and manager
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements
  • Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor
  • Required to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Required to understand and follow work procedures as set forth by all ISO documentation
  • Read and interpret blueprints whenever required by operation
  • Check parts dimensionally with calipers and measuring tools to maintain engineering drawing tolerances
  • Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing environment
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or its equivalent is desired
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
  • Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areas
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. in a safe manner
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motion. Examples: walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time
  • Clarity of vision and the ability to focus on a fast and repetitious operation for extended periods of time
  • Exposure to heavy equipment or components needed to produce product (safety-toe shoes are required)
  • Exposure to machine noise levels (hearing protection is required)
  • Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts
