Job summary

Elemental Brands is seeking a Machine Operator I to join our Reno-based manufacturing team. You will operate production machinery across multiple work centers, assemble and test electronic components, and ensure products meet specifications before shipping.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Typical schedule is Monday–Thursday, 6:30 am–5 pm, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and quality assurance tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year manufacturing/assembly or related experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office; Fishbowl Inventory is a plus.
• Excellent listening and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery in designated work centers (AlphaTech, Linaire, LGP, ACT).
• Assemble, test, and modify electronic parts and systems, including soldering wires.
• Inspect finished goods to ensure conformity to specifications and safety standards.
• Test electrical function and packaging quality; document results.
• Safely use hand tools (soldering iron, heat gun, wire strippers) to complete work orders.
• Organize, stock, and issue supplies; maintain positive working relationships with team members.

Job Description

What You Get To Do:

Serving under Production leadership, the Machine Operator I provides hands-on technical expertise to properly operate the equipment and machinery used to manufacture linear lighting applications. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to comply with basic safety practices and procedures. The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 6:30 am - 5 pm.

Challenge Yourself – The Specifics:

• Operate the production machinery in one or more of the following machine work centersidentified and trained by Management: AlphaTech, Linaire, LGP, ACT, and others as processes develop
• Performsa wide variety of electronic and electromechanical assembly tasks
  • Assembles, tests, and modifies prototypes or custom electronic parts and systems, including soldering wires
  • Works from schematics, oral instructions, and existing documentation
• Follows established procedures and guidelines to check, test, and inspect finished goods before they are shipped from the distribution center to the customer
  • Compares the physical characteristics of products to technical specifications to identify defects; ensuring that the color of wires on the harnesses are recognized in order to solder to proper pads
  • Ensures compliance with all safety regulations
• Conducts tests on electrical function, reliability, and packaging quality and record results
• Safely and effectively use and operate hand tools such as a soldering iron, heat gun, powered wire stripping machines and other equipment required for the completion of work orders
• Work with low voltage electricity
• Detect and correct quality problems found during the manufacturing process
• Organize, stock and issue supplies and equipment
• Use tact, initiative, prudence and independent judgment within general policy, procedural and safety guidelines
• Establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships with Elementalteam members

Qualifications

You Have a Unique Combination of Skills,Talentsand Mindset, Including Many of the Following:

• High school diploma/GED, or equivalent experience and training are typically required
• Minimum of one year working in a manufacturing/distribution environment, quality assurance, assembly, testing, or experience working in an environment using hands tools and equipment
• MS Office (Word, Excel) and Fishbowl Inventory is a plus
• Excellent listening and communication (verbal and written) skills
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Must have excellent attention to detail, be driven, work well independently, and have a knack for problem solving
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic machinery or equipment, preferred
