Job summary

ECHO Incorporated in Lake Zurich, IL is seeking a Machine Operator - Molding for the 2nd shift. You will trim flash, inspect parts, count and package, and report quality issues to the group leader. No prior experience required; on-the-job training is provided.

This role offers a 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 2:45 pm–11:00 pm with pay of $16/hr plus a $1.00 shift differential ($17/hr). Excellent benefits and 11 paid holidays are included.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written procedures (Spanish translation if applicable) and follow verbal instructions.
• Able to stand 100 % of the time.
• Able to lift about 10 lbs.
• Good attendance is a must, candidate should be able to multi-task as required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Able to count, to use trimming devices in a safe manner including small hand tools, and assemble small items.

Responsibilities

• Trims plastic parts to specification, removing excess flashing and runners when necessary.
• Inspects all parts for defects. Notify group leader or supervisor immediately if there are any defects or questionable parts.
• Accurately counts parts and packages in standard box quantities. Follows packaging instructions to prevent unnecessary scrap.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and fill out required paperwork including parts produced, scrap and downtime. This includes filling out hourly counts for semi auto jobs.
• Performs various other duties and assignments as requested to assist in the overall operation of the department and company.

Machine Operator - Molding - 2nd Shift performs various Injection molding related tasks including trimming of flash material and runners, inspecting parts for defects, counting, and packaging parts. Reports any quality issues to Group Leader or Supervisor immediately. Maintains a clean and organized work area at all times
