Job summary

Inotiv is seeking a versatile operator to perform mixing, pelleting, and drying tasks in the Custom Diet facility. The role involves operating mixers and pellet mills, transferring items to drying systems, and maintaining accurate quality records.

Candidates should have a completed high school education, strong English communication, neat handwriting, basic math skills, and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Overtime, including nights and weekends, may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.

• Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide) needed.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Ability to transfer information to quality records.

Responsibilities

• Mix diets using vertical paddle mixers and horizontal ribbon mixer.
• Pellet diets with table-top and free-standing pellet mills.
• Transfer pelleted diet to drying trays and load/unload into vacuum dryers.
• Maintain mixing, pelleting and drying quality records for compliance.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Overtime as needed (nights/weekends).

Job description

Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

The position will provide perform mixing, pelleting and drying responsibilities within the Custom Diet facility to include but not limited to the following:

• Mix diets utilizing both vertical paddle mixers and horizontal ribbon mixer




• Pellet diets utilizing both table-top pellet mills and free-standing pellet mill




• Transfer pelleted diet to drying trays and load and unload drying trays into and out of vacuum dryers




• Complete and maintain mixing, pelleting and drying quality record documentation to ensure quality system compliance




• Participate in process improvement initiatives




• Other duties as assigned by management




• Overtime as needed including nights and or weekends

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Completed High School education

English communication – written, reading and oral

Neat and legible handwriting

Developed and accurate basic math ability – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division

Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately

Ability to accurately transpose written and printed information to quality record documents

Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time

Perform repetitive tasks

Additional Notes:

Physical mobility within facility

Ability to lift 55 lb. objects from floor to shoulder height

Ability to climb and descend stairs and vertical ladders

Aptitude to comprehend solid and liquid process flow

Willing and able to work overtime as needed (including nights and weekends)

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
