Monroechamber is seeking an entry-level Machine Operator Helper in Kansas City, MO, on the 3rd shift (8:00pm-6:00am, Monday-Thursday). Starting wage is $18/hour with hands-on training and a family-oriented work environment.

There is potential to participate in profit sharing once hired on permanently. The role involves feeding large cardboard sheets into machines, inspecting pieces, verifying sizes, cross-training across areas, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Able to read and comprehend written, oral, and graphic instructions.

Responsibilities

• Feed large cardboard sheets into machines and receive finished cardboard products in stack
• Inspect top piece and discard inspected piece; notify Supervisor if piece doesn't meet quality standards
• Verify the size of the cardboard is to specification and cross train in all areas
• Scrap excess cardboard as applicable
• General maintenance and cleaning of work area

• Ability to read and comprehend written, oral, and graphic form of instructions
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Basic math skills required
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong work ethics and excellent attendance will be the key to long-term success
