Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Machine Operator to run and monitor textile machinery, load cloth, set up operations, and ensure quality during the 7am–7pm shift, Monday through Thursday. Ideal candidates will be able to lift 75–100 pounds, enter data into a computer, and follow verbal and written instructions while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly workplace.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine machine operations (load, set-up, doff) and adjust for quality.
• Thread cloth through machine and manage settings for proper results.
• Inspect lot numbers and cloth construction for conformance.
• Maintain neat production reporting and a clean workspace.
• Able to lift 75–100 pounds and climb ladder as needed.
• Operate sewing machine and measure/cut fabric.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Shift is 7am-7pm Monday-Thursday, Pay starts at $15/hr

• Able to inspect/operate cloth and machinery.
• Ability to inspect and operate machine
• Ability to enter data into computer
• Must have cooperative attitude necessary to work effectively with others.
• Good communication skills (verbal & written).
• Must be able to follow verbal & written work instructions.
• Be Safety Conscious.

PRIMARY DUTIES

The primary duties of the employee are (but are not limited to) the following:

• All employees have the responsibility to bring forth suggestions and participate in continuous improvement process and verify the implementation of solutions.
• Conform to all quality/safety/environmental requirements and procedures.
• Read and follow instructions on converting orders.
• Perform routine operations on machine (load, set-up, doff) - make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards.
• Threads cloth through machine
• Checks and regulates steam setting at bleach saturator for proper setting
• Checks lot numbers and construction of cloth for conformance with lot sheet
• Production reporting to be neat and accurate.
• Ability to lift 75 - 100 pounds.
• Climb ladder to lace machine
• Operate sewing machine
• Measure and cut fabric
• Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Department Supervisor.
