Job summary

American Flexible Products (AFP) is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate die cutting presses, CNC equipment (including laser cutter and waterjet), and laminators in a safety-focused environment. You will ensure quality production, monitor run speeds, and coordinate with other departments to resolve issues.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, basic math and blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; some machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform precise measurements.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing setting.
• Good math skills and attention to detail; ability to follow procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor die cutting presses, CNC equipment, laminator and related production equipment to ensure quality production.
• Meet productivity targets while coordinating with support departments and reporting shift information.
• Troubleshoot material or equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
• Record production data and material usage accurately in the ERP system at completion of tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and comply with all safety trainings and rules.

Great hand/eye coordination, and ability to occasionally lift to 50 lbs. Open to overtime as needed.WORK ENVIRONMENT:This position will spend time in a manufacturing environment. The work area in the production environment includes exposure to noise, moving machinery in a temperature-controlled environment.
