Job summary

Nahan in Minnesota is seeking a Machine Operator-Folder Card Affix to be the primary contact for production-related issues on Direct Mail equipment and Speedo Near Line operations.

You will perform setup, operate equipment, read tickets, and support TPM tasks while adhering to safety and quality policies. Weekend and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous related experience preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide education, directions and assistance to team members on best practices, troubleshooting, quality, safety, compliance, and equipment.
• Perform all tasks associated with Folder Operator, Ink Jet, and Helper roles, including setting up stations and bagging requirements.
• Operate equipment within job parameters and to the highest efficiency possible.
• Read and interpret job tickets, ensuring adherence to sign-off and continuity procedures.
• Inspect cost center processes to verify quality standards and proper execution.
• Understand and complete Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) sheets for assigned equipment.
• Inform Shift Leader and order supplies or parts as necessary and provide shift handoffs as necessary to other operators.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in related activities.
• Perform TPM tasks to maintain optimal equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with Nahan Lean manufacturing principles and safety policies.
• Work assigned shifts, including weekends and overtime, as required.

Wage Range: $20 - $23

Shift: 12HR Days/7a-7p

Job Summary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills And Abilities Required

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic machine malfunctions.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical specifications.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.
• Ability to work independently and part of a team.
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
• Excellent time management skills & organizational skills.
• Proficiency/fluent with English language, both written and verbal.
