Steffes Corporation in Dickinson, ND is seeking a production associate to safely operate production machines and read blueprints according to standard work and training guides. You will follow build boards and Kanban, report defects, and collaborate with teammates to meet customer requirements and safety objectives.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior work experience in related field preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet).

Responsibilities

  • Follow and understand standard work, training guides, procedures, and acceptance criteria to meet customer requirements.
  • Able to use various hand tools.
  • Follow and understand build boards and Kanban system requirements.
  • Report inconsistencies and/or defects in material, product, or equipment.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by collaborating with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
  • Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Position Summary

Responsible for the safe operation of production machines. Must be able to read blueprints and follow standard work and training guides provided for each process or product.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

Functional & Cognitive Requirements of Position

  • This position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree.
  • Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs.
  • Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending.
  • Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities.
  • Visual acuity is required to inspect work completed.
  • This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions
  • Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
