Job summary

BARNES AEROSPACE West Chester MRO is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines, ensuring parts meet specifications. You will monitor dimensions with precision tools and document quality on required paperwork in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifying candidates have two years in production, a high school diploma, and the ability to follow instructions while meeting deadlines. This safety-sensitive role requires FAA/DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have two years of experience in a production/shop position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• This position is safety sensitive and subject to FAA and DOT drug and alcohol testing rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines to meet specs and requirements.
• Monitor part dimensions using jigs, fixtures, gauges, calipers, micrometers and height gauges.
• Complete paperwork documenting quality of parts completed.
• Check paperwork to determine required assembly and any special options.
• Assemble components by inspecting connections for proper fit and sub-assemblies.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify correct fit and dimensions.
• Build electrodes for Fast Hole EDM.

Barnes Aerospace West Chester MRO is seeking a Machine Operator. In this role you will set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines ensuring parts conform to specification and requirements. This position requires considerable attention to detail to produce the highest level of quality and productivity against established standards. • Primary duties are to set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines ensuring parts conform to specification and requirements.
• Monitor parts dimensions using jigs, fixtures, gages, calipers, micrometers and height gages to assure conformity of parts.
• Complete paperwork required to document the quality of parts completed.
• Checks paperwork to determine required assembly and any special options.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies, per customer order.
• Uses precision measuring tools to check parts for correct fit and dimensions.
• Build electrodes for Fast Hole EDM

Qualifications:

• Able to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply or divide and may work with fractions, decimals or percentages
• Able to follow simple instructions or directions
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing as to work requirements, work in progress or work completion
• Ability to meet deadlines.
