Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a 2nd shift Machine Operator to safely run roll formers, slitters, and shears, producing metal roofing and wall panels. Training occurs on 1st shift. The role includes operating a forklift, entering quantities, and ensuring quality and safety on the line.

Starting pay is $17.50 per hour with a $1 shift differential for the 2nd shift. Benefits, overtime opportunities, and a team-oriented environment are offered at this manufacturing site.

Base Pay is $17.50 per hour + $1.00 shift differential

Training will occur on 1st Shift (6:00AM - 2:00PM)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A Machine Operator is one of the key members of our production team. Daily responsibilities include safely operating roll formers, coil slitters, and flat sheet shears. The finished product is quality metal roofing and wall panels.

You will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Operating a slitter
• Checking and visually inspecting produced trims against specifications to ensure a defect free product has been produced
• Entering production quantities for each order into computer system
• Operating a forklift for moving skids of stock trims/ metal coils
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment and assisting in other departments as needed

Qualifications: Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to work independently and with others
• High school diploma or GED

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be able to read, hear, talk, drive lift trucks, wear PPE, and lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
• Must be able to stand or walk approximately 7 ½ hours minimum per work shift
• Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in the winter and summer months
• Noise level is moderate to loud
