Job summary

Cohesive Components in Charlotte, NC is seeking an production specialist to laminate materials and apply pressure sensitive adhesive. You will block rolls into sheets, slit materials, and follow PSA-related specifications.

Job Details

Job Location: Charlotte - Charlotte, NC 28273

Salary Range: $21.00 - $22.00

Summary

This position is responsible for laminating materials together, applying pressure sensitive adhesive, blocking rolls into sheets, and slitting materials and other processes as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follow job router instructions for material conversion.
  • Record data accurately.
  • Understand specifications for different types of PSA and materials.
  • Follow safety usage guidelines for PSA and other chemical adhesives.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of tools used in the area.
  • Understand process of operations for other work centers.
  • Participate in daily SQDIP meetings and understand the goals and results.
  • Coordinate daily schedule with the Team Leader.
  • Ensure quality processes are followed.
  • Communicate any job router or standard work issues to the Team Leader.
  • Count PSA stock levels for order review once a week.
  • Keep work center area clean and organized.
  • Complete other duties/projects as assigned by the Area Leader or Team Leader.

  • Ability to stand/walk for the majority of a work day.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and operate some factory equipment.
  • Must be able to use and understand a tape measure, ruler and scales.
  • Strong math skills.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Employee must be able to stand for an entire shift, lift 45 pounds on a repetitive basis, and perform the physical activities directly related to the position. Proper lifting techniques required. The use of personal protective equipment is required under certain conditions.
