Job summary

kdc/one Groveport is seeking a Machine Operator to learn and operate production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work with a supportive team to gain hands-on skills and contribute to smooth production runs.

You will perform basic equipment adjustments, document product data in SAP, and assist with maintenance tasks while upholding safety and quality standards in a controlled setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow SOPs and GMP in manufacturing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills; SAP/HMI experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate fillers and labelers and help keep production running smoothly.
• Perform basic equipment adjustments and changeovers.
• Clean and rinse equipment as required.
• Enter product information into SAP and complete documentation.
• Support maintenance and production teammates on preventative tasks.
• Monitor quality, batch codes, and labeling to meet standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Grow skills by training on additional tasks and supporting line leadership.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll learn how to operate and care for production equipment with support from experienced teammates. Day to day, you will:

• Operate fillers and labelers and help keep production running smoothly
• Learn how to perform basic equipment adjustments and changeovers
• Perform equipment cleaning and rinsing processes
• Accurately enter product information into SAP and complete required documentation
• Partner with maintenance and production teammates on preventative tasks
• Monitor product quality, batch codes, and labeling to ensure everything meets standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Grow your skills by training on additional tasks and occasionally supporting line leadership

No need to know everything on day one — we provide training and ongoing support.

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in learning how equipment works
• Manufacturing or production experience is helpful but not required
• Willingness to learn and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfort using basic computer systems (SAP or HMI experience is a plus, but we can train)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work safely around active machinery
• Willingness to wear required PPE (hairnets, safety glasses, close-toed shoes)
