Location Description

Post Consumer Brands in Jonesboro, Ark. is home to more than 200 team members. Jonesboro may be a smaller town, but it has a strong performing arts scene, multiple schools, and a diverse geography with sports and outdoor recreation opportunities for everyone. The Post Jonesboro team supports the community through food pantry volunteering and an annual toy drive during the holiday season.

Responsibilities

  1. Starting Pay: $22.35 per hour
  2. Shift Schedule: 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., 2-2-3 schedule
  3. Operate and monitor production and distribution equipment and processes.
  4. Ensure all required materials/ingredients are staged and available appropriately.
  5. Support timely and efficient changeovers on equipment.
  6. Respond safely to upset conditions, divert product, clear jams, start and stop equipment, recognize failure patterns, and communicate appropriately.
  7. Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions following upset conditions.
  8. Maintain basic knowledge of SQF requirements.
  9. Learn, support, and perform Basic Equipment Care (BEC) tasks accurately and on time.
  10. Load/change packaging materials into equipment and operate system controls.
  11. Follow SOPs and Food Safety requirements.
  12. Operate material handling equipment safely.
  13. Support cleaning and sanitation of production equipment.
  14. Record production data related to waste, downtime, and efficiency.
  15. Train and coach other employees on equipment and processes.
  16. Complete duties supporting safety, food safety, quality, and environmental practices.
  17. Maintain clean work areas.
  18. Participate in special projects and trainings as needed.
  19. Assist in other areas upon request.

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. 6 months to 1 year manufacturing or related experience is a plus.
  3. Mechanically inclined with ability to learn equipment operation.
  4. Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  5. Basic math and computer skills.
  6. Ability to use hand and power tools.
  7. Ability to work in a team and build positive relationships.
  8. Effective communication skills in English.
  9. Problem-solving skills for entry-level issues.
  10. Ability to work scheduled shifts, stand, kneel, climb, and walk for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds; perform repetitive motions; and work in hot/humid environments, heights, and confined spaces.
  11. Good work history and attendance.
