Pretium Packaging is seeking an Machine Operator for the 2nd shift (3:50pm - 12:00am) to support plastic molding operations. You will set up, operate, and maintain molding equipment, ensuring products meet quality standards while following safety protocols.

You will also manage raw materials, document activities, and troubleshoot to minimize downtime on assigned lines. The role requires 1–2 years in plastics or packaging, HS diploma or GED, and basic computer skills.

Position Summary

The Machine Operator plays a critical part in the production process by setting up, operating, and maintaining plastic molding equipment. Will be responsible for assigned production lines to ensure that product is produced in accordance with established quality and product standards. Role And Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate plastic molding machines according to established procedures.
  • Monitor machine performance during operation and adjust as needed to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
  • Check and maintain defined levels of all raw materials used in production on assigned machinery. Keep all assigned machines and areas neat and clean of debris.
  • Evaluate and discuss the operation of assigned machinery with the Machine Operator from the previous shift. Will operate and adjust production line equipment, in accordance with established production standards as well as report any problems.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of raw materials and notify supervision when replenishment is needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Evaluate and discuss the operation of assigned machinery with the Machine Operator from the previous shift. Will operate and adjust production line equipment, in accordance with established production standards as well as perform preventative maintenance and report any problems.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred (technical training plus).
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Experience in plastics or packaging industry a plus
  • Working knowledge of computer operating systems.
