Job summary

MiTek Industries is seeking a production associate to operate stamping presses and related equipment. You will participate in manual and automated packaging, ensure safety and quality compliance, and complete production paperwork on the shift.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, basic math and reading skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Overtime may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand prints and schematics.
• Ability to use tape measure with 1/32-inch increments.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
• Physical ability to stand, bend and lift up to 50 lbs during shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate stamping presses and auxiliary equipment with manual and automated packaging processes.
• Meet and/or exceed daily production goals.
• Report all machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisors.
• Assist mechanics to keep press/packaging equipment operational.
• Feed slit ribbon material into stamping dies and perform first piece inspection.
• Manually pack metal connectors and/or steel components into packaging containers.
• Minimize product waste and inspect finished products; mark steel lot numbers on shipping containers.
• Monitor coolant and oil levels and adjust as needed.
• Complete quality and production paperwork for the shift.

Job Responsibilities & RequirementsA Brief OverviewOperate stamping presses and auxiliary equipment producing metal connector plates and steel components with manual and automated packaging processes. Ensuring safety and quality compliance, as well as precise production reporting, are major responsibilities of this role.
