Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is hiring a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in California. The role supports production by reading specifications, adjusting equipment, and ensuring product quality. Forklift operation and basic math skills are required.

You will set up machines, monitor performance, and assist with maintenance while maintaining clean, organized work areas. Team communication and ability to lift up to 40 lbs are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of machine operating experience.
• Ability to read and understand operator instructions.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to use basic math.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
• Sets stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates
• Observes machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction
• Reviews product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearances assuring product meets quality requirements
• Performs routine machine maintenance
• Assists other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product
• Makes sure all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned areas

Compensation
