Job summary

Boschgroup in Lincolnton, NC is seeking a production operator to support startup and implementation of production operations at the Lincolnton facility. You will learn the process and help develop local work instructions and standards, with extended overseas travel for training as needed.

You will interact with Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams, train new associates on the shift, and ensure 5S, safety, and daily targets are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical or vocational schooling a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in brazing processes (or similar).
• Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Ability to read product prints and check product to match.
• Able to read and follow instructions; maintain cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload, operate, adjust, change-over, and maintain multiple machines.
• Train and monitor new production associates on the specified shift and provide feedback.
• 6S implementation and aid in trouble-shooting; meet daily targets and address deviations.
• Communicate with Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and related departments.

Job description

• Support the startup and Implementation of the production operation existing Lincolnton, NC facility.
• Learn first hand the process and to support to develop the local work instructions and standards. This Position will require extended Overseas Travel for training.
• Actively communicate with the related departments (Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, etc.).
• Train and monitor new production associates working on the specified shift and provide timely and effective feedback when required.
• Will be responsible to load/unload, operate, adjust, change-over, maintain multiple machines, conduct 5S and aid in trouble-shooting. Responsible to reach the daily targets and elevate in case of deviations.
• High School Diploma or GED, Technical or Vocation Schooling a plus.
• 3 to 5 years previous experience in Brazing Processes (or similar)
• Computer Skills including Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent communication skills - spoken, written, interpersonal
• Ability to learn and understand new processes, machines and technology.
• Flexibility to work in different shifts, overtime
• Ability to stand and be mobile for 8 hours
• Proper hand dexterity

• Ability to lift (up to) 40 lbs.
