Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Basic Machine Helper in Gilbert, AZ to support brake presses, punch turrets, and automated laser machines. You will assist with setup, loading/unloading, and general upkeep to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities include material handling, data entry, labeling, and following safety procedures. Must be able to lift and stand for extended periods and read basic drawings or blueprints when needed.

Qualifications

• Able to read tape measures, gauges, and test equipment.
• Assist setup, load and unload machines in Fabrication Department.
• Stack finished product per specifications.
• Assist bending/cutting of raw materials.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and equipment handling.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and position materials and tools as directed.

Job description

• The Basic Machine Helper supports the operation and maintenance of brake presses, punch turrets, and automated laser machines.
• Assisting with the setup, loading, unloading, and general upkeep of machines to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
• Unloading, loading material, and assisting the operator for Brake Presses, Punch Turrets, and Automated Lasers.
• Maintain cleanliness around the machine area, including tools and equipment.
• Computer data entry.
• Ensuring proper Labeling.

Requirements

• Accurate reading of tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment.
• Help set up, load and unload machines and assist machine operators within the Fabrication Department.
• Stack finished product in accordance with manufacturing specifications.
• Assist in bending/cutting of raw materials.
• Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints. (Preferred)
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and equipment handling.
• Ability to lift and move materials within the required safety guidelines.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Performing repetitive tasks.
