A.O. Smith is seeking a production Operator to initiate operations and monitor performance on the US manufacturing floor. You will read the production schedule, operate automated machinery, and troubleshoot to maximize machine uptime.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and basic computer knowledge. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for the shift, and be willing to learn multiple operations. Competitive benefits are provided.

Primary Function

Operator will initiate operations in accordance with customer requirements and monitor performance to optimize production processes

• Must be able to work with automated machinery and have the ability to perform troubleshooting tasks in order to increase machine up time.
• Must be willing to learn multiple operations and work in different areas as needed.
• Must be capable of walking and/or standing for the entire shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer knowledge.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance
