The Cary-Grove Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Cary, IL. You will operate high-speed production equipment to manufacture plastic components, monitor quality, and support efficient operations in a clean, team-oriented environment.

Requirements include lifting up to 25 lbs, basic math and computer skills, and strong attention to detail. English communication is required; 4:20 PM–12:30 AM shift; pay is $19.50/hour under an evaluation hire arrangement.

Job Title: Machine Operator - 2nd Shift
City and State: Cary, IL
Pay Rate: $19.50/hour
Schedule/Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:20 PM – 12:30 AM (Afternoon/Evening Shift)
Employment Type: Evaluation Hire

Summary:
Operate and monitor high-speed automated production equipment to manufacture plastic components used in beauty and household products. This role focuses on maintaining quality standards, ensuring accurate production processes, and supporting efficient operations in a clean, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and operate multiple high-speed automated production machines.
• Perform visual and gauge-based quality checks to ensure product standards are met.
• Load materials, fill hoppers, and thread tubing onto machinery as needed.
• Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records using PC systems and scanners.
• Conduct product testing and ensure traceability through handheld scanning devices.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Basic math and computer skills required for data entry and production tracking.
• Strong attention to detail and focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
