Job summary

Maker's Pride is seeking a Machine Operator to perform set-ups, operate packaging equipment, and ensure product quality per customer requirements. You will conduct wash and changeover of equipment and adhere to GMPs at all times.

The role requires reliability, ability to work in a GMP environment, and accurate documentation of production processes. Starting pay and benefits apply to full-time roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of GMPs and HACCP or willingness to learn.
• Sufficient math skills to calculate quantities for orders.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to handle small tools.
• Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.

• Operates equipment and adjusts as necessary to ensure equipment is operating correctly and meeting quality specifications.
• Inspects and tests packages, and documents results to ensure equipment is operating correctly and meeting quality specifications.
• Stages and checks required materials for quick and accurate change overs in production.
• Completes and assembles all required documentation associated with the position.
• Maintains works area in a clean and organized manner.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Work Environment And Physical Requirements

• Manufacturing environment - exposure to a variety of machines, noise levels, and varying temperatures.


• Depending on which location, our environments can be very warm or refrigerated.


• Team environment - must be able to work well with others and communicate in a respectful and professional manner.


• Ability to stand up to 80% of the time scheduled


• Ability to lift 40 lbs. unassisted and 40-75 lbs. assisted.


• Must be able to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, as well as across shifts.

Starting Pay: Machine Operator I $25.20/hr, a shift differential is offered for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the 90th day of employment. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
