Job summary

CentroMotion is seeking a General Machine Operator in Bloomington, Indiana to operate mechanical or automated machinery for brake, clutch, and transmission components. You will handle presses, blankers, grinders, and coating operations with shift-specific duties and safety focus.

Responsibilities include safety-first operations, equipment checks, material readiness, parameter adjustments, and quality control per the router.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred, but no experience is welcomed.
• Ability to lift tooling and products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrated ability to use measuring tools (Gauges, Indicators, etc.).
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English at the 12th grade level or better.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed.

Description

The General Machine Operator is responsible for operating mechanical or automated machinery for the production of high performance and severe duty brake, clutch and transmission applications. Duties may include operating various types of manufacturing presses, blankers, grinders, and coating operations. Additional set-up and tear down of specific components may also be required.

Requirements

Shift Details:

2nd shift - 2:45 PM- 11:15 PM

3rd Shift - 10:45 - 7:15 AM

The following job responsibilities are expected to be performed satisfactorily with supervision in a training status:

• Perform operations in a safe manner.
• Review equipment at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order.
• Ensure needed materials are ready and notify supervision of shortages.
• Adjust equipment parameters as stated in the router.
• Operate equipment as stated in the router.
• Perform quality checks per control plan.
• Complete hour by hour boards with documentation of issues if goals are not attained and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor equipment to ensure optimum running and notify supervision of any equipment issues.
• Maintain and clean equipment before and after each shift.
• Complete operator specific preventative maintenance procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
