Job summary

OBE is seeking a dependable production operator to join our Arizona manufacturing team. You will verify process outputs meet quality limits, document results, assist in shift preparation, and help maintain equipment to TPS standards while moving glass and related materials through the line.

This role requires a solid work history in manufacturing, good math and computer interface skills, strong communication and organizational abilities, and the flexibility to work overtime or on call when

Responsibilities

• Verify process output is within specified quality limits and communicate when outside limits.
• Executes, interprets, records, and responds to inspections and test results.
• Isolate and/or reject materials out of specification.
• Ensure transactions (production, rejects, inventory, work hours) are recorded accurately.
• Assist in shift preparation, directing personnel, and hand-off at end of shift.
• Maintain control of process equipment to accepted standards.
• Participate in Toyota Production System (TPS) activities.
• Move materials (primarily glass) using vacuum lift assist equipment and carts to facilitate production.
• Understand schedule and inventory requirements to keep production on schedule.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment (cleaning/inspecting).
• Apply inspection procedures and tolerances to pass/reject materials/products

What You'll Get to Do

Job responsibilities include:

• Verify process output is within specified quality limits and make adjustments and/or communicate when outside allowable limits.
• Executes, interprets, records, and properly respond to inspections and test results.
• Responsible for isolating and/or rejecting materials out of specification.
• Assures transactions (i.e. production, rejects, inventory, work hours, etc.) are accurately recorded.
• Assists in shift preparation, directing personnel, and shut-down or hand-off at end of shift.
• Ensure all process equipment is controlled and maintained to accepted standards.
• Actively participate in the Toyota Production System (TPS) activities.
• Moving materials (primarily glass) using vacuum lift assist equipment, manually lifting, and moving mobile carts from one position/location to another to facilitate the production process
• Understanding the schedule and the inventory requirements to keep production on schedule
• Performing preventative maintenance activities on equipment, such as cleaning and inspecting
• Understanding and applying inspection procedures and tolerances to pass or reject materials and/or products
