Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Machine Operator for 1st shift at our Hanover, PA facility. You will operate packing room machinery, monitor quality and weights, and prepare materials for upcoming production runs.

Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively is required. Prior experience in food manufacturing is a plus; overtime and weekend work may be needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and written procedures.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate packing room machines (Hayssens, box machines, tapers, stretch wrapper, diverter gates, labelers, sensors) to meet production standards.
• Review production sheets to anticipate changeovers and prepare materials for next orders.
• Monitor weight, bag waste, and print codes to ensure product specs are met.
• Perform weight checks on packing lines to confirm specifications.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

About the Role:

• Ensures that production standards are met by: operating all packing room machines at specified efficiency (speed). Packing room machines include: Hayssens, box machines, box tapers, stretch wrapper, diverter gates, case labelers and sonic sensors.
• Determines upcoming production needs by studying production sheet to anticipate changeovers and assigned products to machines. Uses this information to have correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, etc. ready for next order.
• Maintains specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions and inspecting product for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code-dates to keep within specified bag waste limits.
• Ensures product specifications by completing weight checks on packing lines.
• Other duties as assigned

About You:

• Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written
• Experience in a manufacturing environment – food manufacturing a plus
• The ability to work overtime and weekends
