Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure in Napoleon, OH is seeking a Machine Operator to ensure safe, efficient production of molded OES products and to prepare items for shipping. This non-exempt, full-time role requires following precise production specifications and maintaining quality standards across all SKUs.

You will inspect and trim parts, report any quality issues, operate with safety as a priority, and keep a clean workstation.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate verbally or in writing.
• Ability to display safety orientation.
• Physical demands include walking, climbing stairs/ladders, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Environment may be outdoor and indoor warm in summer.
• Occasional use of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Reviews production specifications for each product SKU scheduled for production.
• Removes product from machine in accordance with cycle time to maintain schedule.
• Trims, files or cuts excess flash from product.
• Inspects each piece to ensure quality meets standards.
• Notifies supervisor of quality issues or inconsistencies to limit production loss.
• Installs or assembles additional components per order specifications.
• Maintains awareness and communicates safety concerns.
• Labels, packages, and stacks finished product for shipping.
• Adheres to safety procedures and reports hazards.
• Maintains clean, organized workstation to ensure safety.

Job Summary

The Machine Operator ensures the safe and efficient production of molded OES products within customer specifications and prepares products for shipping.

Job Responsibilities

• Reviews the production specifications of each product SKU scheduled for production prior to shift and asks clarifying questions
• Removes product from machine in adherence with machine cycle time to maintain scheduled production
• Trims, files or cuts excess flash from the product using required tools in accordance with product specifications
• Inspects each piece to ensure that it meets quality standards and customer specifications
• Advises a supervisor of product quality issues, packing damage or inconsistencies in a timely manner to limit production loss
• Installs or assembles any additional component in accordance with order specifications
• Maintains a high level of awareness of surroundings and communicates issues or concerns that could potentially interfere with production or create an unsafe work environment
• Labels, packages, and stacks finished product in preparation for transfer to shipping
• Adheres to all established safety procedures and advise supervisor of any potential safety hazards or concerns
• Maintains a clean and organized workstation always to ensure the safety of self and others

• This job involves the following physical demands: Walking, climbing stairs/ladders, standing, climbing, bending, stretching, and using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Job responsibilities involve occasional use of cleaning chemicals
