Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co is seeking an Operator in Schofield, Colorado. The successful candidate will set up machines for drilling and cutting glass panels, ensuring all operations are performed with safety and efficiency. Candidates must have basic computer skills, be able to read a tape measure, and perform mathematical calculations.

Qualifications

  • Ability to use computerized tracking systems and production labels.
  • Experience in reading labels, sketches, and performing spatial visualization.
  • Ability to maintain machines in good working condition.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machines for drilling and cutting glass panels.
  • Complete daily work sheets, calculating hole sizes and placements.
  • Inspect work for defects and notify supervisors of issues.

Here’s What You’ll Get To Do
  • Ability to use and understand computerized tracking systems, and production labels
  • This position involves setting up a machine to drill holes, cutouts in glass panels according to work orders, fabrication sheets and schedules
  • Read labels, sketches, system program, and be able to perform spatial visualization interpretation
  • Complete daily work sheets and forms, calculating and measuring for hole size and placement, and inspecting work
  • Ensure the machine is maintained in good working condition
  • Regular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job
  • Handle product in a manner that will not cause damage to the product or injury to self or others
  • Recognize product defects and notify supervisor immediately of any issues
What We’re Looking For
  • To be considered for an Operator position, the following conditions must be met
  • Basic computer familiarity
  • Read and use a tape measure
  • Basic English
  • Read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals normally acquired through high school education or equivalency
