Job summary

OBE is seeking a Machine Operator in the United States to support set-up, adjustment, and operation of production machines in our manufacturing facility.

You will work with production teams, maintain traceability, follow safety policies, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor. On-the-job training is provided, and strong communication with attention to detail is preferred for career growth.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided.
• Strong mechanical aptitude required.
• Able to use hand tools and read a tape measure.
• Basic computer skills and math basics.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines for knurling, rolling, and testing.
• Maintain part traceability with proper tagging.
• Handle material requisitions when needed.
• Follow safety policies and maintain quality and productivity.
• Perform general duties as assigned.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Machine Operator is focused on the set-up, adjustment, and operation of machines and reports to the department supervisor.

This role is perfect for an individual who has good communication skills, excellent problem-solving skills, and has good attention to detail. A vital member of Production, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Set up and perform knurling, rolling (crimping), and shear testing for the strutting operations.
• Perform material requisitioning when required.
• Maintain part traceability with proper tagging identification techniques.
• Moderate computer knowledge required (NC database, process sheet updating, Excel, email)
• Follows and adheres to the company’s safety policies.
• Work towards continuously improving workplace organization, safety, quality, and productivity, and supports an environment that empowers employees.
• Other duties as assigned.
