Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Waxahachie, TX is seeking a Machine Operator 1 to support the Maintenance Department with set-up and operation of equipment, fabricating and assembling doors, and performing quality inspections. This role reports to the Maintenance supervisor.

You will read fabrication drawings, use hand and power tools, follow safety policies, and contribute to a team focused on reliability and continuous improvement. 1st shift with overtime required.

Qualifications

• Experience using and reading a tape measure to the 1/16"
• Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
• Experience using powered industrial tools
• Read written instructions and follow verbal instructions
• Multitask, prioritise and work under time constraints
• Must be a team player and willing to be trained in other areas
• Strong communication with peers and management
• Must be able to work 1st shift with overtime
• Preference for applicants with fabrication experience

The Machine Operator 1 is focused on working with the Maintenance Department with set-up and operation of equipment. May operate different machines to ensure the equipment is working efficiently. This role reports to the Maintenance supervisor.

What You’ll Get to Do

• This position is responsible for general fabrication and assembly of doors using hand and power tools, quality inspections as well as other duties which may be assigned
• Qualified candidates must be able to work 1st shift with periods of required overtime
• Regular and predictable attendance, ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job
• Other duties as assigned
