General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) is seeking a Machine Operator 1 for the 3rd shift in Wilkes-Barre, PA. You will operate production equipment and help ensure products meet quality and output requirements.

The role requires basic measurement skills, forklift qualification eligibility, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while standing for extended periods. You will work in a safety-conscious environment with opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate various production equipment with training.
• Ability to use standard measurement equipment.
• Must be able to qualify for and operate a forklift.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsabilités

• Operates production equipment to meet requirements for quality and output.
• Performs equipment adjustments and tooling changes to maintain specifications.
• Inspects parts and documents findings on paperwork as needed.
• Records length of time and materials used for each job.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work area and returns tools to designated areas.
• Adheres to safety regulations and notifies management of discrepancies, malfunctions or injuries.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Years and area of experience (required for the role): Metal-craftmanufacturing environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates production equipment to produce products in accordance with requirements including quality and output following verbal and written instructions.
• Completes equipment adjustments and tooling changes to maintain compliance with specifications and quality procedures.
• Inspects parts and documents findings on appropriate paperwork as needed.
• Records length of time and quality of materials used for each job.
• Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner to includereturning tools to designated areas.
• Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations and notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education: High School Diploma/GED

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to
  • Operate various production equipment with proper training and instruction.
  • Use standard measurement equipment.
  • Qualify for and operate a forklift.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand for longs periods of time.
• Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
