• Able to operate presses, mills, and auto-forming machines.
• Able to use basic math to analyze information.
• Experience with computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety, quality procedures, and business code of ethics.
• Lift and load parts.
• Insert blanks manually into press; perform hot or cold form operations.
• Measure parts and keep accurate records of milled/formed quantities.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and compliance; package customer parts.
• Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of work areas.
• Set up equipment per control plan specifications and timing.
• Verify dimensions and material characteristics; load coils, strips, or blanks.
• Operate forming press/straightener and adjust to specifications.
• Perform manual milling and replace milling heads as needed.
• Remove non-conforming parts and conduct operator maintenance.

Machine Operators operate, set up, program, maintain, and troubleshoot presses, mills, and auto-forming machines in a fast-paced environment. You will:

• Adhere to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulationsand business code of ethics
• Lift and load parts
• Insert blanks manually into press and perform either hot or cold form operations
• Measure parts
• Keep an accurate record of the quantity milled and formed
• Inspect finished parts for Quality and Compliance
• Package customer parts
• Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of working areas
• Set up for all equipment in required time, per the control plan specifications
• Verify dimensions, type and characteristics of Raw Materials
• Load Coil, Strip or Blanks
• Set tension on Slack Loop
• Adjust and operate forming press/straightener to produce parts in accordance with specifications
• Set up milling machine
• Perform manual mill operations
• Replace milling heads
• Remove and isolate Scrapped/Non-Conforming Parts
• Perform operator maintenance (changeout lubricants) and housekeeping of working areas
• Train Level 1 team members

Required Qualifications:

• Basic Math skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 3 years of Machine Operating experience

Physical | Visual Demands:

• Ability to stand 8-12 hours a day
• Ability to sit, stand, squat and bend
• Reach overhead with one or both arms
• Repetitive movement of lifting and placing parts on machines / up to 15 pounds
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to occasionally push/pull up to 75 pounds
