Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Winston-Salem, NC is hiring a Machine Operator (Asitrade) to assist the operators of the single-face laminator. The role offers 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm or 7pm–7am) with pay starting at $16.94/hour and benefits from Day 1.

Responsibilities include preparing and adjusting starch adhesive, assisting with roll changes, and supporting the lead operator while upholding safety and cleanliness. Overtime is required and employment is contingent on a drug screen.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of machine operating experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Candidates will undergo drug screening after conditional offer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix starch adhesive for wet-end operator.
• Monitor and adjust starch adhesive as required.
• Assist wet-end operator on roll or flute changeovers.
• Assist lead operator on pre-stacking sheet feeder.
• Fill in for lead operator on breaks and days absent.
• Work safely and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Overtime is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Machine Operator (Asitrade) – Winston-Salem Manufacturing

Summary

Machine Operator (Asitrade) is responsible for assisting the operators of the astride single-face laminator.

Shifts Available

• 7am to 7pm
• 7pm to 7am

Pay: $16.94/hr. or more (based on experience)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

Qualifications

• Previous production experience
• Minimum 1 year of machine operating experience
• Must be able to work 12-hour shift
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
