Assembly Line Worker – Manufacturing

Location : Wheeling, IL
Position Summary

As an Assembly Line Worker, you will be part of our production team responsible for assembling, packaging, and inspecting products on a high-volume manufacturing line. You will work in a fast-paced environment, follow standard operating procedures, maintain quality and safety standards, and be part of a team striving for efficiency and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor production line equipment and tools, following standard work instructions.
  • Assemble components, sub-assemblies, or finished products according to specifications.
  • Inspect and verify parts for proper fit, alignment, function, and quality.
  • Package and label products, prepare them for shipping or storage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation (including 5S practices).
  • Report any equipment or quality issues immediately.
  • Adhere to production targets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Follow all safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in training as required, cross-train on multiple stations.
  • Assist in cleaning, line changeovers, and shutdowns as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, or production experience is a plus (but not always required).
  • Ability to stand and walk for the full shift; frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching may be required.
  • Able to lift up to 25-50 lbs (depending on specific station) and handle repetitive tasks.
  • Basic math and reading skills to follow work instructions and measure parts.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, willingness to work shifts (including weekends or overtime if needed).
  • Team-oriented, good communicator, safety-minded.
