Job summary

Weaver Popcorn Manufacturing in Van Buren, Indiana is seeking a Machine Operator to operate and monitor production and packaging equipment, perform quality checks, and support food-safety standards.

Shifts include day 4:30 a.m.–4:45 p.m. and night 4:30 p.m.–4:45 a.m. with a $3.00/hour premium; 2-2-3 rotation with every other weekend off. Starting pay is $21.00/hour plus opportunities for raises.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties effectively and safely.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, SOPs, and safety documents.
• Basic math and computer/data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with focus on quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor production and packaging equipment.

About The Role

As a Machine Operator, you’ll operate and monitor production and packaging equipment to keep popcorn production running safely and efficiently. You’ll make equipment adjustments, complete quality and food-safety checks, and work with your team to meet production goals.

Your Schedule

Our 2-2-3 rotation provides built-in days off and every other weekend off. You’ll work two days, have two days off, and work three days. The following week, you’ll have two days off, work two days, and have three days off.

Pay and Benefits

Compensation

• Starting pay of $21.00/hour.
• Average annual earnings of $50,232; actual earnings vary based on hours worked and applicable premiums.
• $0.50/hour raise after 90 days.
• Additional $0.50/hour raise after six months.
• $3.00/hour night shift premium.
