Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a Machine Operator in Owego, NY for a weekend shift (Thu-Sun) from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, performing operation, setup, and basic maintenance of light-duty machines. The role requires basic computer skills and attention to detail, with potential for training on Atlas systems.

Candidate will work onsite, with pay between $18 and $20 per hour and overtime at 40 hours per week. Training will be assigned when hired.

Qualifications

• Operates light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and equipment such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills or punch presses, power brakes, shears or saws.
• May set up machining machines and make adjustments, and perform maintenance on machines.
• Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances.
• Some machines may be numerically controlled. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
