Job summary

Metalcraft in Mayville is seeking Machine Operators for brake press and laser operations. Starting pay is $20/hr+, with a $2/hour premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Multiple shifts available, enriching hands-on training in a modern manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• 1–4 years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to perform basic math, measurements, and quality checks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hydraulic and punch press equipment to meet quality and production standards.
• Load materials, install tooling, and assist with machine setups.
• Read work instructions, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
• Inspect finished parts and document production and quality information.
• Troubleshoot basic manufacturing and equipment issues and elevate concerns when needed.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Support preventative maintenance activities and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Follow all plant safety, quality, and production standards.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 18+ years of age
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to perform basic math, measurements, and quality checks
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Team‑oriented, dependable, and able to follow instructions effectively
• Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment is a plus
