Job summary

IMI is hiring for an entry‑level CNC operator who will read basic blueprints and follow written instructions to operate CNC machines. You’ll perform boring and milling, use gauges, and ensure parts meet specifications while maintaining production flow and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • First (entry) level CNC operator following written instructions and reading basic blueprint specs.
  • Operates CNC machines performing standard/repetitive sequences with provided programs.
  • Basic knowledge of boring and milling operations.
  • Performs checks with gauges/fixtures to ensure spec conformance.
  • Uses hand tools in production and finishing of machined parts.
  • Maintains production levels and quality with in-process inspection.
  • Performs basic pre-staged machine set-ups under supervision.
  • Recognizes tooling wear problems and reports them.
  • Follows procedures and records in the plant management system.
  • Keeps work area clean, safe and compliant; follows PPE rules.
  • Demonstrates teamwork as part of the IMI Way.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Role Overview :

First (entry) level of CNC machining center operator. Requires the ability to follow written instructions and read basic blueprint specifications.Operates CNC machines to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided.

Critical Competencies for Success:

Pay range:$21-24hr

Within this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
