Job summary

Prostaffworkforce in Ridgefield, NJ seeks an experienced Machine Operator to lead daily manufacturing operations at our client site. You will oversee production activities, coordinate team members, monitor quality and safety, and ensure efficient, compliant operations on first and second shifts.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in manufacturing with leadership exposure, quality control experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
• 1–2 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• 1–2 years experience in a leadership role within manufacturing.
• 1–2 years experience with quality control processes.
• Understand basic machine parameters, resets, and start-up/shut down procedures.

Responsibilities

• Implements quality control checks to ensure product standards.
• Coordinates team efforts for efficient production.
• Optimizes workflow to enhance productivity.
• Trains new employees on production procedures.
• Monitors production metrics and generates reports.
• Responsible for logging accurate transactions within our Inventory Management System/Epicor to ensure all components and finished goods are accounted for.
• Facilitates communication between production and management teams.
• Keeps inventory of necessary materials to minimize downtime.
• Complete Safety for Life Inspection Form
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and cGMP standards.

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Machine Operator to support daily manufacturing operations at our client's Ridgefield, NJ facility. In this role, you will lead production activities, coordinate team members, monitor quality and production performance, and help ensure operations run safely and efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on manufacturing professional who enjoys leading a team, improving processes, and helping achieve production, quality, and safety goals.

Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $18-$24/hr

Shifts: 1st shift - 7 AM - 3:30 PM
2 nd shift, 3:30 PM – 12 AM

A Brief Overview

Oversees production line operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with quality and safety standards. The Manufacturing Line Lead is responsible for coordinating team efforts, optimizing workflow, and maintaining equipment to support the achievement of production targets.
