Job summary

Trulieve is seeking a Machine Operator in Reading, PA to operate and maintain manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment. The role emphasizes multi-skill versatility, teamwork, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has prior equipment operation experience, strong problem-solving ability, and basic software familiarity (Outlook/Excel/Word). A comprehensive benefits package and PTO are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 19+ years old; PA driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• Strong verbal and written communication; basic math and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable using Outlook, Excel, and Word; solid mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate equipment across the facility.
• Perform periodic checks and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Work with team to maintain equipment in proper working order; ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Operate and maintain machinery; assist in grinding and disposal of waste as needed.
• Follow safety rules and maintain food safety standards where applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Machine Operator

Department: Production

Reports to: Post Harvest Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Location: Reading, PA

POSITION SUMMARY

The Machine Operator will handle day to day equipment operations, and ideal candidate is a multi-trade problem solver who is technologically advanced with prior machine operating experience. We are looking for experience individuals who can work within our team to accomplish daily goals. It is our desire to have a well-rounded team that is passionate and has a strong work ethic to continuously make Trulieve successful.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Become proficient in the setup, adjustment, and operations of all equipment in the facilities
• Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems detected
• Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order
• Responsible for running, maintaining, and cleaning of the machinery
• Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations
• Attention to detail to ensure the machine is properly cared for and the environment is held to food safety standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Disposal and destruction of bad product and plant waste using grinding equipment
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have previous experience as an equipment technician in an industrial environment or equivalent setting
• Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems detected
• Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order
• Solid understanding of basic troubleshooting skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable with Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics
• Strong time management skills, driving efficiency and productivity to ensure goals are meet consistently and high-quality control

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent education required
• Must be a minimum of 19 years
• Must have valid Pennsylvania Driver’s Licenseor ability to obtain one
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
• Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
• Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
• Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
• Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
