Job summary

A leading construction materials firm located in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a machine operator responsible for safely operating KN / MBK cage machines in the production process. This role involves ensuring machine cleanliness, producing quality products, and performing basic troubleshooting. Qualified candidates will have 1+ years of industry experience, proficiency in English, and strong problem-solving skills. The position may require working outdoors in varying weather conditions and around high levels of concrete dust.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industry experience with KN / MBK cage operating.
• English language proficiency; Spanish is a plus.
• Experience in machine operations, welding, maintenance, or quality control preferred.

Position Summary

Responsible for safely operating KN / MBK cage machines and equipment in the production process.

Essential Job Functions/Duties

• Operate control station and header cart
• Ensure machine is clean and is in good working order
• Ensure quality of materials used in production (concrete, wire reinforcement)
• Supply machine with necessary components to make product
• Produce quality product
• Be able to perform basic trouble shooting on production and concrete batching machinery
• Operate a forklift and or crane to supply machine
• Experience in machine operations, welding, maintenance, or Quality control preferred
• This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) industry experience with KN / MBK cage operating
• English language proficiency. Spanish is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Quick thinker / flexible / problem solver
• Work with coworkers and supervisors in meeting production goals
• Welding experience
• Maintenance experience

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

• Exposed to high levels of concrete dust.
• Work outdoors but may on occasion work indoors. Temperatures may vary due to weather.
• Regularly wear protective attire, such as hard hats and steel-toe boots.
• Exposed to sound and noise levels that are distracting and uncomfortable.
• Work in extremely bright or very dim lighting conditions.
• Mon – Fri (weekends when needed)
