Job summary

UPM is seeking a hands-on team member in Northbrook, IL to operate cutting equipment and handle specialty metals. The role includes learning to run saws, cutting titanium, stainless, and nickel to spec, and maintaining quality with on-site support from an established partner network.

The position offers wage starting at $23–$25 per hour, with training provided and opportunities for growth within a long-standing, industry-leading company backed by O’Neal Industries.

Qualifications

• You’ve got some mechanical sense (or want to learn).
• Good troubleshooting skills—you can think through problems.

Responsibilities

• Run saws and cutting machines (we’ll train you).
• Cut titanium, stainless, and nickel to customer and industry standard tolerances.
• Load and unload materials.
• Make sure parts meet required specs and quality standards.
• Keep your machine running and adjust when needed.
• Troubleshoot basic machine or material issues.
• Check your work-quality matters here.
• Keep your area clean and safe.
• Call out problems when something’s not right.
