Job summary

Allied Printing Services, located in Manchester, CT, is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up, operate and monitor automated production equipment, ensuring safety, accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced print facility.

You will review job specs, adjust machines, perform routine maintenance, and uphold quality standards while collaborating with a production team to meet schedules. Two night shifts with differentials and comprehensive benefits accompany this full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Review production schedules, procedures and specs to ensure proper start-up and operation of automated equipment.

• Make machine adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Operate equipment at established productivity targets.
• Adhere to quality specifications and color standards; report issues to the Press Supervisor.
• Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.

Machine Operator

The Machine Operator performs a variety of duties involving the setup, operation, and monitoring of automated production equipment in accordance with work instructions and quality standards. This role ensures efficient production output while maintaining safety, accuracy, and operational excellence within our print manufacturing facility.

What You’ll Do:

• Review production schedules, process procedures, and specifications to ensure proper sequential start-up and operation of automated equipment and peripheral hardware.
• Set up and operate machinery according to work instructions and job requirements.
• Perform machine adjustments to maintain quality standards and production efficiency.
• Operate equipment at established productivity targets.
• Adhere to quality assurance specifications and color standards; communicate any issues or variances to the Press Supervisor.
• Perform routine cleaning and minor machine maintenance.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area throughout the shift.

Physical Requirements:

• Walking 50% | Standing 50% | Lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying 25–50 lbs. and more. | Ability to stand for extended periods. | Safely move materials weighing 500–750 lbs.| Using manual pallet trucks|
• Ability to lift, move, and position materials throughout the workday and safely operate warehouse equipment for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials

The Details:

Job Type: Full Time (Off shift only)
Shifts Available: 2nd Shift 4:00pm-12:00am (12% differential) & 3rd shift 12:00am-8:00am (15% differential)
