Job summary

Prysmian Group in Lawrenceburg, KY is seeking a Production Line Operator to help drive cable manufacturing processes. You will monitor lines, start up machines, perform changeovers, and conduct quality checks in a 12-hour shift schedule with occasional night premium.

We require a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years in manufacturing, plus the ability to pass tests and a background/drug screen. Competitive benefits apply from Day 1.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse roles within the last 7 years.
• Ability to pass a skills test, background check, and drug screening.
• Visual ability to distinguish colors (12 basic colors).
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and handling reels up to 800 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor extrusion or stranding lines to ensure cable production quality and timeliness.
• Perform machine startups, changeovers, and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct measurement checks to meet quality standards.
• Report production issues and equipment concerns proactively.
• Follow safety and regulatory guidelines.

Production Line Operator Role:

As a Production Line Operator, you'll be at the heart of our manufacturing process:

• Monitor plastic extrusion or stranding lines to ensure high-quality, timely cable production.
• Perform machine startups, changeovers, and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct measurement checks to meet quality standards.
• Report production issues and equipment concerns proactively.
• Follow all safety and regulatory guidelines.

What You Bring:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing and/or warehouse roles (within the last 7 years).
• Ability to pass a skills test, background check, and drug screening.
• Visual ability to distinguish 12 basic colors.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and manually roll reels up to 800 lbs (with or without accommodation).
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts with physical movement (stooping, bending, standing, sitting).

Preferred:

• Proficiency in basic calculations and measurement tools (calipers, tape measures, thickness gauges).
• Full range of motion in shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers.
